Snowflake Jumpers
A jumper is a garment worn on the upper torso of a person, usually over a vest, shirt or t-shirt. It is usually quite a warm layer of clothing and is generally worn in the colder seasons of Autumn and Winter. Military Blazer
The other day my boyfriend and I were walking through the centre of Manchester when a strange figure demanded our attention. As we walked around the shops there suddenly came in front of us a really arresting figure. It was an old man of, perhaps, seventy years of age who was dressed head to foot in regalia. He had on a Military Blazerand cap and looked every inch the first world war soldier. His Military Blazerwas beautifully cut and presented, as was the rest of the outfit and he really made an impression. My boyfriend stopped him to ask him why he was dressed up like this on an ordinary afternoon in his Military Blazerand the rest of his fantastic outfit. His reply really stopped us both short. He explained that he had fought in the second world war and was really proud of what he had done there for his country. Contrary to a lot of people who fought in the war, he wanted to remember every second of it and he said the he found wearing his uniform on a regular basis made him feel as though he was still in the thick of things. We were both amazed and slightly humbled by his love for his country.
